We Now Have A Mandarin Speaking Orthodontist!
One of our main goals at South Surrey Smiles is to provide the best service we can to as many people as possible. Recently, we came to realize that we had a gap in the care we were able to provide.
That is why we have recently hired Dr. Huang to join our team. Besides being an excellent orthodontist, Dr. Huang speaks fluent Mandarin. His expertise and his language skills will allow us to reach a wider range of people seeking orthodontic care.
A little bit about our newest orthodontist. Dr. Huang was born in Taiwan and spent his adolescent years in Vancouver. He earned his Honours Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Toronto, Master of Science in Biochemistry from the University of British Columbia, and Doctor of Dental Surgeon Columbia University School of Dental Medicine (美國長春藤 – 哥倫比亞大學).
With an additional two years of rigorous specialist training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Dr. Huang received his Orthodontic Specialist Certificate and Master of Science in Bone Biology. He has published many original scientific articles on a wide range of topics and is highly respected by his colleagues and patients alike.
We are thrilled to welcome a Mandarin speaking doctor with his experience and expertise to work alongside the rest of our incredible staff. Dr. Huang will be advising on treatments ranging from conventional braces to Invisalign® to the latest technology involving skeletal anchorage device (mini-implant) and accelerated orthodontics.
One of the reasons we respect Dr. Huang is because he takes pride in keeping up with the most current evidence-based technology. Orthodontics is a fast changing world and we believe that learning the latest information and techniques is the way to best serve our patients.
Dr. Huang will be an excellent addition to our staff… did we mention he also loves golf, guitar and snowboarding?

Finally, our goal is to build a clinic where patients feel relaxed, which is why we have a friendly staff with experts who are both friendly and knowledgable.
