Being lucky enough to have a dad that you can rely on is something that we could all be grateful for every day. There is one particular day approaching on the calendar this month when dads everywhere are celebrated and thanked for everything they do for us throughout the year. On Sunday, June 19th, be sure to let your father know how much he means to you and thank him for everything he does for you! Whether he drives you to school each morning, helps you learn how to throw a perfect spiral or take that wicked slap shot, or if he’s simply there when you need a helping hand or a big hug, Father’s Day is the perfect opportunity to let your dad know how much you love and appreciate him and everything he does for you.
At South Surrey Smiles, we see a lot of fantastic dads walk through our doors each and every day, and have seen first hand just how great fathers can be with our patients. Most of our younger patients wouldn’t even be able to come see us if it weren’t for their dads giving them a ride to our office, so for that alone, we are extremely grateful! In addition to providing our patients with necessary transportation, we see a lot of support and encouragement coming from our patient’s fathers all the time. Undergoing any type of orthodontic procedure can be a little nerve wracking, especially if it’s a patient’s first time. Luckily for a lot of our patients, their dad is there to help them stay relaxed, which makes everything go a lot more smoothly for everyone, even if it means we have to listen to a few “dad jokes”!
This year, on Father’s Day, make sure you take the time to let your dad know just how much he means to you. Whether you say it in a card, over the phone or with a thoughtful gift, you can really make your dad feel special by letting him know that you appreciate all the great things he does, or has done for you over the years.
