Our Best Free Menchies Event Yet

Everyone at South Surrey Smiles is extremely proud to organize and host fun charitable events that give people in our community the opportunity to support worthy causes like the fight against cancer. For the past three years we have helped raise awareness and donated funds to the Canadian Cancer Society by hosting a Free Frozen Yogurt Event at the Menchie’s in Morgan’s Crossing every April. Each year we have managed to increase the number of donations we receive, but this latest year has by far been our best yet! We are happy to announce that our staff and volunteers at the event managed to raise $908.50 in donations this year, and with the matching funds promised by South Surrey Smiles, a total of $1817.00 will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society, beating last year’s total of $659.72 almost three times over!

We are so proud of the level of success we have achieved with this event, but we certainly couldn’t have done it without the help of such dedicated patients and our wonderful community. It was great seeing everyone come together once again in April to show support for individuals and families that are affected by this terrible disease by wearing yellow and enjoying a tasty frozen treat. It is always so uplifting to see our community do its part to find a cure for cancer, and the fact that this event gets bigger each year gives all of us hope that a future without cancer is not far away.

What started as a patient appreciation event for South Surrey Smiles has now grown into one of our most popular annual charity events. On behalf of all of us at South Surrey Smiles, we want to thank everyone who took the time to come out and help us support the Canadian Cancer Society. We are so proud to be a part of such a dedicated and generous community and we look forward to seeing this event continue to grow! Along with raising funds and awareness for cancer research, our Free Menchie’s Event is always a great opportunity for our team to discuss orthodontics with members of the community looking for information. We are always happy to answer any questions you may have about oral health, and we look forward to welcoming new patients that are looking to get the most out of their smile!
