Its October, which means the weather is getting cooler, the leaves on the trees are changing colours, and before you know it every kid’s favourite holiday is going to be here in full force, with all the costumes and candy (but hopefully not cavities!) that go along with it. Here at South Surrey Smiles, we are all getting ready for a month long Halloween celebration, and can’t wait to get our patients involved in all the fun!
To start off the celebrations this month, our treatment coordinator, Deanne and our clinical assistant, Brigitte went out and picked over 100 pumpkins to give to our wonderful South Surrey Smiles patients. But that’s just the start of our celebrations here. When you come visit us this month, you may be surprised to find the office looks a little spookier than normal. Don’t worry! We’re not trying to scare you away from the orthodontist’s office! There are plenty of funny and spooky props and decorations here for patients to take fun photos with while they’re waiting for their appointment. We are also getting very excited for our 4th annual pumpkin carving contest being held this month, and with over 100 pumpkins to give away, we are anxious to see all the fun and imaginative carvings our patients come up with.
All of the fun activities from this month will lead up to our week long costume celebration scheduled for the week of the 26th– 30th. Our team is planning to dress up as their favourite Super Hero or Super Villain that week, and they are hoping to see some patients come in dressed up for their appointments as well! Not only will our patients get to join in the fun by dressing up in costume, but you will also be rewarded for your festive attitude with 10 reward points which can be redeemed on our website in exchange for cool prizes like a gift card to your favourite store or restaurant! All you need to do is come to your appointment that week dressed up with a big smile on your face, and be ready to have some Halloween fun with the team here at South Surrey Smiles.
Many of our patients like to match the colours on their braces to their Halloween costume. Others just love to be festive, black and orange are always the most popular colours for braces in October!
